The winning entry this year of F/X's pilot competition. The half hour/single camera comedy pilot will be directed by Jason Priestley.
"Don't Cry Now"
Based on the Joy Fielding novel of the same name, it is the story of a woman whose life is turned upside down when her husbands ex-wife is murdered. This Lifetime movie for television is directed by veteran director Jason Priestley and will air in July 22nd.
In February of this year, Jason Priestley reunited with Brenda Hampton to direct an episode of her show "7th Heaven". It was only fitting as they also worked together on the first episodic television Brenda ever wrote; a short lived series that Jason starred in called "Sister Kate".
" The Road Hammers"
CMT has hired documentarian Jason Priestley to helm the second installment of the popular series of the same name. This season will be six half hour episodes and will be shot almost entirely in Nashville. The show chronicles the trials and tribulations of a hard driving, hard working Canadian band "The Road Hammers" as they try to break into the ultra competitive American market.
"A Side Order of Life"
This Warner Brothers pilot for the Lifetime network was produced by Oscar winners Dan Jinks and Bruce Cohen. It follows four friends and how the terminal illness of one of them affects them individually and as a group. Starring Marisa Coghlan and Jason Priestley the show is the brain child of emmy winner Margaret Nagle. Lifetime has since ordered another 12 episodes and will premiere the show on July 15, 2007
